The freestyle lettering and ornamentation in this piece made it fun to work on. In contrast to the figure's composition, which was worked out tightly ahead of time, I allowed the cursive scripts to just happen as felt right afterwords.
I did this piece specifically for self promotion in the Workbook as it showcased a range of stylization and technique.
It think I also liked working on this piece because I was able to bust out some of the old school tagging again.
